Dashboard Update: Metrics, Notifications, and some UI

DashThis News

We are eager to launch officially, but we had to improve some features and to do some fine tuning. We spent the last month testing on living patients and we had lots of good feedback. It has been a pretty positive experience so far.

So here are the major updates we made:

Percentage of visits metric

You’re kidding right? This wasn’t standard feature already? No. It seems we had our eyes closed on this one during the development phase! But it’s better late than never so you can now output a KPI in terms of percentage against the whole website.

E-Commerce metrics

We also included standard Google Analytics metrics such as number of transactions, total transaction revenue, revenue per transaction and transaction revenue per visit. We also implemented custom goals value and total value (which is Revenue + Goal).

Comparison with same period last year

Because many business experience seasonal effect, we updated the notification mechanism to compare with the same period one year earlier. It makes great sense for many useful KPIs such as revenue which, for example, has more meaning when compared with the same period of the past year.

KPI proportion of total visits

Numbers sometime don’t say enough. We added a simple pie chart to give you some insight on the weight of the KPI against the whole website performance.

Ordering the KPI in the dashboard

It sounds pretty obvious too, isn’t it? It wasn’t a feature we were supposed to do for the first version. But tests showed it can be a real pain in the neck so we added support to reorder the KPI anyway you want using simple drag and drop.

There’s more to come for sure! Meanwhile, we hope your executive dashboard simplify the monitoring of your online performance. Don’t hesitate to ask us for help if there is anything you’re not satisfied with.
